Bonjour,

6.) Why do I need a battery charger for the vehicle?
We strongly recommend using a vehicle battery charger whenever performing a reprogramming operation on your ECU. The reason is the following: You have 7 different memory banks in your ECU. memory Bank 1 is the most important bank in regards to accessing the ECU. If information is lost while transmitting information to memory bank 1 due to a power loss or loss of communication, a malfunction will occur and could damage the ECU.
