Informations sur le Club
As we all know by now our forum brother VRAlexander had a tragic accident at the Spectre 341 Challenge event this weekend. As an active member of our communities, I thought it would be a nice idea to gather all of our fun times and experiences with the wild man VRAlexander and his outrageously fun adventures he was kind enough to share with all of us through the years. Godspeed Alex! Alexander Djordjevic "Alexander Djordjevic, or more often known as ‘VRAlexander’ online, is a motorsport fanatic. Alexander comes from an entrepreneurial background. Over the years, he has written several patents, and been involved in dozens of business ventures ranging from restaurant/bar concepts to several Silicon Valley start ups to Las Vegas Casino Investments. His Venture Capital Company has seven different corporations under its wing. Alexander’s latest philanthropic venture is the creation of a non-profit charity dedicated to help our military troops returning from overseas service. The United States Military Charity is helping troops change their ‘programming’ from military to civilian life. He has been in dozens of Magazines as well as television programs from the popular ‘PINKS’ to ‘Supercars Exposed’. Now Back It Up was a program he had been pushing under the name “Forum Wars” theme and the idea was carried to several networks before he decided to fund the project himself and call upon Kerry Ward and Adam Bruce to put the pieces in play. Alexander’s love for cars over the years shows clearly in his lifestyle, as he doesn’t just promote these races and events… He also competes in them!" Source http://www.nowbackitup.com/blog/?p=40

With a brief lull in supercar news, we can now focus on something a little different. It is rare when we get one of the best cars of our time on an equally impressive road with stunning backdrops, but this is exactly what happened to us a few months ago. Specifically, Exotic Cars at Caesar's Palace kindly let us take out VRAlexander's infamous Carrera GT. For those not in the know, this was the first CGT fitted with straight pipes and it has a deafening song that can be heard two miles away. VRAlexander was keen to show the car's performance potential, so we headed out to one of America's most breathtaking public parks: the Valley of Fire. For any photographer, tourist or driver, this Valley is like a sensational gift from the gods. It has red sandstone formations that have been made from 150 million years of erosion. It is like the surface of Mars with breathable air and some serious driving roads. This setting alone was more than enough motivation to start taking pictures. After making a few impromptu videos (which can be seen on youtube), Richard Owen and Julien Constans took every artistic liberty to capture the event. Our tribute to the park and the CGT can can be found on our Carrera GT page. Included is a clear photo that shows how the CGT's carbon fiber has a tendency to yellow over time. Many thanks to VRAlexander and Ben Nef at ECACP for making this possible.
