Gordon looks even younger today, still has what is probably the best shirt collection in the world and since we first met on that F1 tour in 2017, decided to embark on a new car project, this time not with a manufacturer like he did with the F1 but with his own company because, well, why wouldn’t you?
When I’m 75, I wanna be like Gordon.
Thanks again to the whole team, Henry, the engineers and mechanics assembling the cars in the workshop, I know how much I hate it when someone is breathing over your shoulder checking what you’re doing.
Awesome project.
PS: Quick word on the T33. Lovely small car too, what you don’t see on the pictures is the coke bottle shape and how much inwards the body curves between the two axles, there’s a hint of Porsche 904 at the back and the front is very clean. It’s arguably a prettier shape than the T50, another car that needs to be seen with your own eyes for sure.
The T50S looks mental, I’d love to see it race, I really don’t like all these track only special edition cars (that’s the racer in me talking I guess) but sadly I don’t see which series would welcome such a beast.
But contrary to all the other projects I’ve seen from Ferrari, Lambo, Pagani, etc, I reckon this one could have its word to say…
We recently visited the GMA HQ to take a closer look at the T50.
I’ll be honest, I didn’t fall in love with the car when the first pictures were published, the headlights seemed too big, that fan looked odd and the general styling of the car was a bit too “safe” for my taste.
The specs however are bonkers. Very much a modern day F1, an up to date version of the Mona Lisa, only without its two downsides, the gearbox and the brakes.
First surprise: Not only were we greeted by the man himself, but he stayed with us the whole visit spending time telling us about the genesis of the project, its ethos, his motivation, his vision, stories about his early cars, racing titles, anecdotes about the F1 with Mansour, Ron, truly the stuff of legend.
Gordon, a massive thank you, we’re not worthy.
Second surprise: The car looks much better in real than on pictures. What strikes you first is how small it is, especially compared to today’s cows, erm Chiron anyone…?
I still think the styling is on the safe side (and let’s be honest, Peter Stevens’ work is a tough act to follow) but it’s actually a good thing: This is an engineer’s car designed with one goal in mind, the purity of driving.
Think McLaren F1 meets Carrera GT with an engine from heaven. A love letter to the ICE. The last true analog supercar.
Gordon then took us to the assembly line where the team is currently putting together XP and VP cars, man the attention to detail of every single component is insane, the fight for each gram is everywhere, we spent minutes turning with huge satisfaction the rotary knobs of the dash, this is pure sadness guys, petrolheads material only.
Anything you touch, feel, must exude perfection. Death to the touch screen!
So many other details to write about, so little word count available on instagram…
Sadly the T50 is sold out, my fault, remember when I wrote I don’t understand how you can commit such massive sums of money without having tried the car, let alone seen it, well, 100 guys have and you know what, they were right…
C’est la vie.
Gordon has offered me to try the T50S on the track when it’s ready and I’ll definitely remind him when the time comes.

Le développement de la T.50 touche à sa fin : la production peut être lancée et les premières livraisons aux clients sont attendues dans les mois à venir.
Une nouvelle vidéo pour apprécier l’incroyable sonorité du V12 atmosphérique.![]()
